My name is John Lockwood and I'm the developer / designer / and administrator of this business forum. I've been a professional software developer and avid webmaster for many years. Around 1990 I was just dropping out of graduate school, and looking for a new career, so I taught myself how to program using C and C++ on Windows. That's how I came to land in California from the East Coast, since my first decent software job was in technical support for Borland's C++ compiler. Since then I've written lots of code in a bunch of different languages, and worked as a web developer and software consultant through my company, http://www.particlewave.com. Most of my latest work involves consumer friendly real estate sites running on Wordpress. This forum site is running on Drupal, so I'm getting better and better at Drupal through this experience.
