I have a really trusted mechanic in James Williams at Ponderosa Auto Express at 2981 Alhambra Drive in Cameron Park. I've been going to this company to have my car serviced since before James was there, when it was Ponderosa Lube and Tune. When James took over he continued to provide the same great service that I always got there, so I almost always go there for oil changes, smog checks, and whenver my car has a bigger service issue. One time I had gotten an oil change elsewhere because the other company also had a car wash, and the service man recommended a battery replacement. That didn't sound right since I know I'd just changed the battery recently, so I had it tested at Ponderosa and sure enough, it was fine -- the other guy was just trying to sell me a new battery even though my existing one was still working and under warranty!
